Registration for the 2006 Island Trees baseball season will be held on the following dates: Wednesday, Jan. 11; 6 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14; 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Jan. 18; 6 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21; 9 a.m. to noon and Saturday, Jan. 28; 9 a.m. to noon. The registrations will be held at the Island Trees Middle School, located on Wantagh Avenue, just south of Hempstead Turnpike. Boys and girls who are interested in playing must be between the ages of 5-12. A copy of the child's birth certificate is required if the child is a new ball player to the league. The Levittown Athletic Club will be holding registration for the 2006 season on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. Fred Sparke Elementary School located behind Kohl's department store. All girls in grades 2-12 are eligible to play. All new applicants will need a copy of their birth certificate, which will be kept on file for the future. LAC has also started travel teams, but girls must also play on teams during the regular spring season to be eligible.

Due to the Babe Ruth League adjusting the age cutoff from July 31 to April 30, all new and returning players must submit a copy of their birth certificate with the registration form. For more information call the league hotline at 796-0571.
In Person Registration Friday, Jan. 13, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 14 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Both registrations will be held at the Hunt Road School bus facility, located on Hunt Rd. One block west of the East Broadway School. Bring check cash or money order.

Levittown North Baseball is open to all boys and girls from ages 4 to 17. A child's date of birth is determined by his or her age on April 30, 2006.
