Levittown Central Baseball has announced the following dates for their 2006 spring registration: Saturday, Dec. 17 and Jan. 21, 2006 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Levittown Library - Room A (Entrance is on Bluegrass Lane). For inquiries regarding their registration, contact the following divisional directors:

4-year-olds, Tee Ball, Rookies (ages 4-7): John Cahill 233-5835 or Mike Martin 735-4125.

Farms, Minors, Majors (ages 8-12): Dan Stripp - 579-0156 or Rob Pappas - 731-1822.

Seniors (ages 13-18): Joe Castrianni (516) 742-4515 (days only).

To sponsor a team, contact Chuck Lodato at 445-2369.

Due to Babe Ruth adjusting the age cut off from July 31 to April 30, all new and returning players must submit a copy of their birth certificate with the registration form. For more information call the League Hotline at 796-0571.

Levittown North Baseball has a new website: www.levittownnorthbaseball.com. By visiting the website viewers can obtain information while looking at photos and news updates. But that's not all. Registration is also available online at no additional cost. Simply go to www.levittownnorthbaseball.com and click on the registration tab on the left. Most of the information needed is in drop-down boxes to make it even easier. The whole process averages less than five minutes. New registrants to Levittown North Baseball need to either mail or fax a copy of their birth certificate to P.O. Box 593 Levittown, NY 11756-0593 or fax it to 731-0110.

Levittown North Baseball is open to all boys and girls from ages 4 to 17. A child's date of birth is determined by his or her age on April 30, 2006. If your child, or any other child you know of wishes to play baseball but is unable due to financial hardship, please call 731-0110 or e-mail: registration@levittownnorthbaseball.com and they will make accommodations.

The Nassau County Police Activities League Special Needs Unit is taking registrations now for the winter basketball program in Port Washington, the winter karate program in Levittown and the recreation program in New Hyde Park. The Special Needs Unit provides programs for children and young adults from ages 5-21 with special needs. The Special Needs Unit is always looking to expand the programs offered to youths. Suggestions are always welcome. Contact Barbara at 579-1402 for further information.
