Deck the house with boughs of ivy and blow up Holiday figures! It's time to nominate the home you think is the most beautifully decorated in the Levittown Community Council's Home for the Holidays Contest.

Nominations are being accepted and everyone can participate by nominating their own home, a relative or neighbor's that they think fits their idea of most beautiful. The only qualifying factor is that the home must be in Levittown or that area defined by the Levittown school district.

Levittown has been divided into six sectors from Seaman Neck Road in the east to Wolcott Road in the west and from North Jerusalem Road in the south to Spindle Road in the north. Groups of volunteers in each sector will be scouting for homes they think are beautifully decorated and will look at all the homes that are nominated. The judges will select the finalists and those homes will be photographed. Final decisions will be submitted to the Board of Directors of the Community Council. A winner in each sector will be chosen and each will receive a prize.

Nominations must be postmarked no later than Dec. 24. Decisions will be announced in January and winners will receive an invitation to attend a meeting of the Levittown Community Council at which they will be presented with their prize. A photo will be taken and submitted to the local media for publication. Meetings of the Levittown Community Council are held at the Levittown Memorial Education Center at 7:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month.
