Lacrosse Boy Tomahawks: First Come Basis. Loaner equipment is available to all first-time participants only, (deposit required) but they must have their own lacrosse stick, shoulder pads and protective cup. All returning players must supply their own equipment. A full game uniform (shorts and jersey) is provided to each participant. Parents are encouraged to act as assistant coaches or team administrators. Spring Travel League; 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Graders. Practice will begin March 1, 2006. Starting in April games will be played on Sundays and end in June. This is a travel league, although travel is limited to Long Island and rarely takes more than 30 minutes to reach a location. Boys: 1st and 2nd graders: This boys clinic starting in April and ending in June to teach basic lacrosse fundamentals. Tennis: Ages 7-15. COED, Lessons on Modern Indoor Tennis Courts, Professional Tennis Instruction. Bring racquet and sneakers (balls will be provided). Classes at Sportime, 101 Norcross Ave., Bethpage (933-8500). Ten registrants to one instructor per class. These are considered beginner classes although everyone is welcome to join. Classes on Sunday evenings starting in January and ending in March. Program runs for eight weekly one-hour sessions. Age groups 7, 8 and 9 and the other 10 and older. There are no make-ups unless we cancel a class. Fee $80.

Levittown North Baseball will be holding 2006 season registrations on the following dates: Saturday, Nov. 12, 1 to 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 15, 6 to8 p.m. Both sign-ups will take place at the Hunt Road School bus facility, which is located on Hunt Rd, (a half block East of the East Broadway School on Seaman's Neck Road). The Levittown Athletic Club Girls Fast-Pitch Softball League will be holding registration for the 2006 April-June season. Registration for the 2006 Island Trees Baseball season will be held on the following dates: Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon. Registrations will be held at Island Trees Middle School on Wantagh Avenue, just south of Hempstead Turnpike. Boys and girls interested in playing must be between the ages of 5-12.
