Registration for the 2006 Island Trees Baseball season will be held on the following dates: Saturday, Oct. 15, 9 a.m. to noon; Wednesday, Oct. 19, 5:30 to 7:45 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 22, 9 a.m.-noon and Saturday, Oct. 29, 9 a.m. to noon. Registrations will be held at Island Trees Middle School on Wantagh Avenue, just south of Hempstead Turnpike. Boys and girls interested in playing must be between the ages of 5-12. Levittown South-Wantagh Athletic Association will be accepting registration every Saturday and Sunday in October at the Duck Pond Field concession, and the Alken Avenue Field Complex. Levittown North Baseball is holding its Early Bird Registration for spring 2006. This year the savings will be $15 per child. New registrants must furnish their child's birth certificate. Registration is for boys and girls between the ages of 4-17. Children ages 7-17 receive a pro style uniform with their own name and number on the back. Registration dates are as follows; Friday, Oct. 14, 6 to 9 p.m. at Hunt Road School Bus facility and Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hunt Rd School Bus facility. (The Hunt Road School Bus facility is located on Hunt Road about 200 feet west of East Broadway Elementary School.) Early Bird pricing is as follows; 4-year-olds and first time ever playing 5-year-olds (T-Ball): $50. Second-year 5-year-olds and all 6-year-olds (Pitching Machine): $70. 7- and 8-year-old players (Live pitching, not from coaches): $85. 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-year-old players: $90. 13 to 17-year-old players (90-foot bases and two umpires): $135. The Early Bird family cap is $225 for any amount of immediate family members. After Nov. 1, it is full price. Senior division not included due to high costs of umpiring (two per game). Please note your child's age is as of April 30, 2006.

Levittown Central Baseball is holding its 2006 spring registration on Tuesdays, Oct. 18, Nov. 15 and Nov. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the American Legion Post 1711 on North Jerusalem Avenue.

The cost is $50 for 4-year-olds (must be age 4 before May 1, 2006), $74 for T-Ball and Rookies ages 5-7, $95 for Farms, Minors, Majors ages 8-12 and $140 for Seniors ages 13-18. Basketball: Ages 6 to 12 - COED, First-come, first-served. We will be forming teams in divisions based upon demand. Practice can begin in December and the season runs January-March. Program is held Monday-Friday, one or two evenings per week. Includes shirt, shorts and medals. It is an authorized Junior NBA/WNBA League. Parents are encouraged to act as coaches and assistant coaches. Registration fee: $70 (Family discount: second and third children = $5 off).

Wrestling: Grades 3-8. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:45 PM. Program runs December to mid-April at Salk Middle School. (No classes Presidents Week) Shirts and individual membership in USA Wrestling Association included. Optional tournaments held outside of Levittown location will require wrestling shoes and additional fees (typically $10-$15). Registration fee: $80 Family discount: second and third children = $5 off).

Boys Indoor Lacrosse: Grades 3-8. No contact, indoor winter lacrosse program. Held on Saturdays, late morning or afternoons depending upon enrollment (five, 1.5 hour sessions) at Levittown Memorial Education Center. The program runs early January-February. Loaner equipment is available to all participants, but children must have their own stick and mouthpiece. Shirts included. Registration fee: $45.
