When schools opened earlier this month, I could not help but notice the void created as a result of St. Bernard's School closing. I believe it is a great loss to our community to see this faith-based, child-centered educational facility close. As a former faculty member and parent of a graduate I have wonderful memories of St. Bernard's and I think it is a shame more could not have been done to keep it open.
