Island Trees Board Members Sworn In
On July 15, at the Reorganization Meeting of the Island Trees Board of Education, Ken Rochon and Patricia Mahon, who won board seats in the election this past May, were officially sworn in to begin their terms as board members. Bob Condela, who won re-election to the board, was also sworn in. David Rubin, attorney for the board, administered the oath of office. They were elected for three-year terms.

DAHS Blue Dragon Baseball to Host Annual Golf Classic
Division Avenue Blue Dragon baseball is having its annual Golf Classic to support the baseball program on Monday, Aug. 15. Sign in is at 6:30 a.m. and tee time is at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $155 per person and includes breakfast, golf and cart, food, soda and beer on course and a three-hour open bar and full hot lunch after golf. LSA Opens Season With Swim Meet
This past Sunday morning the Levittown Swimming Association, celebrating its 50th Anniversary, had the honor of Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray starting the first race of the season. Murray, a Levittown resident and former swimmer of LSA, was proud to be a member of the organization which gave her fond childhood memories.
