IT Phyllys Grab First Place, Named Finalists in Waldbaum's Cup
On Saturday, June 11, the Phyllys, the Island Trees Girls U-10 Soccer Travel Team, won their last game of the regular season against the Jericho Lady Jaguars 3-0, finishing the season in first place in their division. The Phyllys played hard and tough on an extremely warm day. Two quick goals were scored by fast forward Marianna Ferraro, which put the Phyllys ahead in the first half of the game. A second half goal was scored by forward Katie Steinwall.

MacArthur 5, Carey 0: Kelliann Horak's two-out, two-run triple in the top of the first inning gave MacArthur (3-8 League I-Conference I) a 2-0 lead en route to a three-run frame. Carey is 8-3.
