The weather is getting better but their golf scores are not. They had 44 golfers there, but collectively they only had 20 pars and Sean McGuiness was the only golfer to get as many as three. They also had one birdie by Jim Anderson on the par 4, 259 yard, first hole. Most of them did not care too much about the scores. It was a great golf day and they were happy to get out on the course again after the long and snowy winter.

The next tournament will be Thursday, May 19. Sign-in is 7 a.m.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 11 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 12 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Note: Because of the rapid growth of the club this year, they regret that they must limit their membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, they will accept you, but after that they will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
