It is with deep sadness that Birthright announces the death of our past director, Caroline Sutch, who passed away on March 7, 2005. In his Homily at her funeral Mass at St. Bernard's Church, Father Ringenback, Pastor, mentioned how Caroline was dedicated to the preciousness of life... not only as a devoted mother of 12 children, but in the giving of her time and talent to Birthright for over 28 years, and as Birthright's Director for 17 of those years. Caroline stepped down from that position in April of 2002, but continued to serve as Director of the Birthright Thrift Shop in Mineola.
Caroline was a strong lady, and bravely faced the suffering and distress of her last illness. She is now at peace and reunited with her two children, Kathy and Kevin, who passed on before her.
Rev. Lawrence Duncklee offered the final prayers at her gravesite in Holy Rood Cemetery.
Our heartfelt sympathy to Ed Sutch, and the whole, wonderful family that she loved so much. She was our inspiration, and we will all miss her warmth and loving care.
