Frances "Gigi" Donahue Wright, of Marlboro, NY, died on Jan. 20, 2005 after a courageous struggle awaiting a liver transplant.
Gigi was born in Brooklyn on Jan. 29, 1953 to her father Jerome P. Donahue and her mother Elizabeth Crane. Gigi spent her early years in Levittown before moving to the Hudson Valley region, which she loved, for the remainder of her life. She graduated from Dutchess Community College. She was married to John Wright of Poughkeepsie. Gigi was known for her kind heart and adventurous spirit. She loved music, sunflowers, warm days and the color purple.
She is survived by her husband John; her sons, Demetrius and Corey, as well as their wives, Emily and Tammy; mother Elizabeth Donahue; brothers and sisters, Jerry, George, JoEllen, Betty and Daniel; grandchildren, Samantha, Gabrielle and Jabari Donahue and Jade Wright; and goddaughter, Janet "Nana" Minor; and many dear and devoted friends.
Gigi was a dear friend. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be missed by all. In her honor, please consider organ donation.
