MacArthur Senior Named Candidate in Presidential Scholars Program
Eric Lai, a graduating senior at General Douglas MacArthur High School, has been named a candidate in the 2005 Presidential Scholars Program. Of the nearly 2.8 million students expected to graduate from United States high schools across the nation in 2005, less than 0.1 percent are selected to participate in this prestigious program.

IT Soccer Club President to be LIJSL Hall of Fame Inductee
The Long Island Junior Soccer League is very pleased to announce that Phil Goldberg of the Island Trees Soccer Club will be inducted into the LIJSL Hall of Fame at the league's annual convention from March 4-6 at the Hilton Long Island in Melville.

Registration Information
LAC is still accepting registration forms for the 2005 season starting in April. Any girls in second grade through twelfth grade who are interested should go to Northside School, Pelican Road Levittown, on Saturday, Feb. 5 or Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be a final night on Friday, Feb. 18 at the Island Trees Middle School, Wantagh Avenue, Levittown from 6 to 9 p.m. These are the dates of our three free softball clinics, and only registered players are allowed to participate, due to insurance. Girls only need sneakers and gloves for the clinics. For additional information call Joel Bearman at 731-1454.
