Taking Necessary Steps to Crack Down on Illegal Housing
At a press conference Jan. 18, Nassau County District Attorney (DA) Denis Dillon and Harvey Levinson, chairman of the Nassau County Board of Assessors, announced plans to utilize the prosecutorial and investigative resources of the DA's office to assist Nassau County's town and city governments in the prosecution of illegal housing.

ITHS Hosts Ted Petersen Annual Wrestling Tournament
The Ted Petersen Annual Wrestling Tournament took place on Saturday, Jan. 8. Coach Petersen is a legendary, National Wrestling Hall of Fame member who coached at Island Trees High School for over 30 years.

Registration Information
LAC is still accepting registration forms for the 2005 season starting in April. Any girls in second grade through twelfth grade who are interested should go to Northside School, Pelican Road Levittown, on Saturday, Feb. 5 or Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be a final night on Friday, Feb. 18 at the Island Trees Middle School, Wantagh Avenue, Levittown from 6 to 9 p.m. These are the dates of our three free softball clinics, and only registered players are allowed to participate, due to insurance. Girls only need sneakers and gloves for the clinics. For additional information call Joel Bearman at 731-1454.
