The first registration for the 2005 Levittown Athletic Club Girls Softball season went well. The next registration will be held on Friday, Jan. 14 at the Levittown Public Library in Room A. The hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. All new players must supply a copy of their birth certificate that will be kept on file for future years. LAC has three divisions for girls in grades two through 12. There will also be three free clinics in February for all registered players. Clinics on Feb. 5 and 12 will be held at Northside School and Friday, Feb. 18 at the Island Trees Middle School. For additional information please telephone Joel Bearman at 731-1454.

Levittown North Baseball has set the following registration dates for the upcoming season: Friday, Jan. 14, 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Both registrations will be held at the Hunt Road School Bus Facility, which is located on Hunt Road, between Seaman's Neck Road, and Wantagh Avenue. (one block east of the East Broadway School). Boys and girls, ages are 4-16. Your child's date of birth is determined by their age on Aug. 1, 2005.

Sponsor packages are available that advertise for businesses, and can also enable your child to play for reduced rates for free. They also have a sponsor-a-child program. If you or anybody you know of has a child and are experiencing financial hardship, please contact us so that we may help your child enjoy the fun of baseball.

Levittown Central Baseball will be holding registration Thursday, Jan. 20, 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All registrations will be at the Levittown Public Library, Room A. Levittown Central Baseball home field is located at McLaren Field on Loring Road. Call their new central hotline at 796-0571 for more information.

This baseball program is open to all boys and girls from ages 4-12. Their Girls Softball Program is open to girls from age 8-16. They are a supporter of the Island Trees /Levittown Senior League program and invite all graduating players to join this program. The following registration dates will be held at the Levittown Public Library: Saturday, Jan. 29, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m, Saturday, Feb. 5, 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Feb. 17, 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Feb. 28, 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m. to noon. If your child played last year, you need only mail a check with the child's full name and date of birth on the memo portion of the check.
