Assemblyman David G. McDonough is announcing that he has available, in his District Office, applications for the New York State Correction Officer's Examination. The Examination is scheduled to be held on March 19, 2005 and the filing deadline for this examination is Jan. 31, 2005.

Correction Officer positions are located throughout New York State in various facilities of the New York State Department of Correctional Services. The following requirements must be met at the time of appointment: You must be at least 21-years-old; be a high school graduate or have a high school equivalency diploma; be a United States citizen and be a resident of New York State. Currently a Correction Officer Trainee's salary is $28,444 which increases to $34,742 after one year.
