Contractor Charged With Defrauding Levittown Woman
Nassau County District Attorney Denis Dillon announced the arrest of Scott Peterson, 39, of East Patchogue by the DA's Criminal Frauds Bureau. Peterson is accused of operating a home improvement business without a license, while defrauding a woman from Levittown, leaving her essentially homeless.

MacArthur Lights Up Holiday Tournament
The MacArthur Boys Basketball team won their holiday tournament for the third straight year in a dominate fashion, outscoring their opponents 122-79. In the first round, MacArthur beat cross-town rival Division Avenue 63-42. Senior Andrew Kost (11 points) made consecutive three-pointers 30 seconds into the game as MacArthur went on a 10-0 run to close out a 19-3 first quarter.
