A pickup truck lies on its side after colliding with an SUV.

The drivers of two vehicles sustained non-life threatening injuries after an early morning accident on Sunday, Dec. 19. The accident occurred at the intersection of Old Jerusalem Road and Wantagh Avenue.

Wantagh firefighters, along with a Nassau County Police ESU Unit and the Wantagh/Levittown Ambulance Corp. responded to the accident.

Firefighters and police freed the driver of the pickup truck, while the ambulance corp. stabilized both victims and transported them to NUMC.
