Jerry Reitzen receives the jersey from Manager John Gino. His number was retired for the Levittown Fire Department Rebels Softball team for his dedication and devotion to the game.

The November department meeting for the Levittown Fire Department was a night to remember for one individual. Jerry Reitzen stood up with the rest of the Rebels softball team, in front of 150 other department members, to accept a baseball jersey that was retired to him after 30 plus years of dedication to the team. Manager John Gino called him up to receive it, and the department gave him a standing ovation. Reitzen has been playing the game for years as the Rebels pitcher, as well as winning a few championships and winning the first MVP award for the Fire Department All-Star game. He is also a life member of Engine Company 7, with 39 years of service to the department as well as an ex-captain. He will stay on the softball team as a coach and consultant. On behalf of the Rebels softball team, the Levittown Fire Department thanks him for the memories.
