Levittown Fire Department Captain Honored at TOH Ceremony
Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray honored local volunteer firefighters at a special ceremony on Oct. 13. The 10 individuals, including Levittown Fire Department Captain Robert Fischer, were honored for their courage and dedication to protecting local communities.

Island Trees Middle School Rededication a Success
On a chilly October Saturday, over 200 members of former Island Trees Superintendent Richard Neil Segerdahl's extended family gathered on the front lawn of what was formerly known as Island Trees Middle School. Friends, alumni, current students, co-workers, and public officials rededicated the building that day, Oct. 23, as Richard N. Segerdahl Middle School.

Division Improves Record to 3-2
The Levittown Division Blue Dragons evened their record at 2 - 2 with a convincing 49 - 6 win over the Roslyn Bulldogs. Division opened the scoring when Paul Gruber scored on a one-yard touchdown run set up by his own run of 24 yards on the preceding play.

Island Trees Sports
The Girls 8th Grade Soccer Team defeated Plainview in convincing fashion. Offensive threats Stephanie Kaiser and Nichole Coradini each had a goal, while Jesse Ciserano added two. Val LaSala also scored for her first goal of the season. Danielle Hastings posted a shutout with help from defensive specialists Ashley Moore, Rebecca Burleson, Sam Cranmer, Kim Dazo, Danielle Doller, Deanna Brown and others.
