The Levittown Athletic League is proud to announce that the 10 & Under Girls Softball Team won 2nd place in the Babe Ruth League Regional Tournament. The team drove to Millville, New Jersey on Friday and attended the Opening Ceremonies. On July 24 they played two games, winning the first and losing the second to a very strong New Jersey Travel Team called the Spartans. On Sunday they played three games, winning all three and making the finals on Monday evening. They again met the Spartans, knowing they would have to win two games from them; the tournament was a double elimination. They did lose the first game but took home the 2nd place trophy. The team would like to congratulate Chris, Bobby and Brian for their dedication to the girls bringing them this far in just their first year in the Babe Ruth organization. All of the girls did more than their best and LAC is proud of them for their excellent showing. Their New York State Championship Banner and Babe Ruth Plaque will be on display at Azalea Road Field with honor. Great job girls!
