The Levittown Athletic Club Girls Softball will be hosting the 2004 Metro New York State 12 and Under Softball Tournament. This double elimination tournament will be held starting Friday, July 9 at 6 p.m. and continue Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and if needed, the final game will be Monday, July 12 at 6 p.m. All of the games will be played at the Azalea Road Field.

Teams from Levittown, Glen Cove, Pelham Bay in the Bronx, Yonkers and HBQVB from Queens are slated to attend.

LAC will be hosting a welcome breakfast for all of the players on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. with the Opening Ceremonies. They have invited local dignitaries to join them Saturday morning.

All residents are urged to stop by and cheer on the 12 and Under Team managed by Valerie Posillico, Coaches Donna Riggs, Bill Thiessen. The team players are Jennifer Murphy #1, Jessica Thiessen #2, Gina DiTieri #3, Amanda Schaefer #4, Jennifer Jean #6, Erin Steinke #7, Jessica Johnsen #8, Danielle Culen #10, Franki Posillico #11, Jessica Thron #12, Samantha Wierzbicki #13, Brittany Tricolla #15, Jennifer Skidmore #17, Trinity Sanabria #21 and Marissa Pollina #24.

The LAC's 10 and Under Team, 14 and Under Team and 16 and Under Team will also be traveling to play in their respective Metro New York Tournaments in Staten Island, the Bronx and Queens. They wish all girls the best of luck and urge them to just have fun.
