This spring the Levittown Girls Varsity Lacrosse team did an outstanding job. We ended up third in League III with a 7-3 record getting us into playoffs. The girls have been working together to achieve this common goal, playoffs. Other schools coaches ask me is it hard to have a combined team with two rival high schools? My answer to them is no, our team is committed to each other and it is great how we can assimilate into one program bringing together our community. This year we showed our unity with our new uniforms. If you made it to a game or two you would have noticed that we are now wearing black, red and white and we call ourselves the Panthers. Where did we get these colors? Ask a Memorial graduate. It is mutual grounds for colors and mascot, also we play our home games at Levittown Memorial field. We could not have made it so far this season without our strong leadership from our four senior captains, Chelsea Olsen, Jessica Roesemann, Kathryn Broschmann, and Samantha Sanchez. Next year these girls will be missed and are going to be hard to replace. Adding to our successful season were our underclassmen Maria Baez, Christina Bianco, Kaitlyn Blozis, Diana Buonagura, Michelle Debellis, Angela Ferraro, Nicole Foy, Christina Gilbert, Caitlin Heraghty, Lauren Kenny, Hayley Lacey, Jillian Maricondo, Cassy Murphy, Maria Notaristefano, Erin O'Brien, Emily Reuter, Julie Shatarah, Jessica Sutch, Kathy Waite, and Samantha Accurso. Our post-season honors went to Emily Reuter, All County; Chelsea Olsen and Lauren Kenny, All Conference; Jessica Roesemann, Unsung Hero Award, and Kathryn Broschmann, Scholar Athlete Award. All of these girls did a great job this year and have made it a fun and successful season.
