On Monday, the Division Avenue HS Blue Dragons Baseball Team beat Great Neck North 18-0 as Kevin Gerard hurled his second shutout of the season. He hurled a no-hitter, while striking out seven batters in a five-inning game called early because of cold weather conditions.

The Dragons pounded out 10 hits enroute to scoring 18 runs. James Hickey had three hits, three runs scored and three RBIs; Brian Chenicek added three RBIs and Garrett Douglas had two hits and three RBIs. Junior Joe Cardone also scored four runs.

Wednesday, the Dragons visited Floral Park, who was giving them trouble the last two seasons and once again it was a thriller with the Dragons coming out on top 3-1. Joe Seide and Zach Flinn combined for the victory allowing only one unearned run.

James Hickey was the offensive star for Division, hitting a solo homer and singling in the Dragons' second run. Brian Chenicek singled home an insurance run for Division in the sixth inning.

On Saturday, Division finally got to play against Mineola in a non-league game that had been canceled due to bad weather early in the season. Division recorded its second shutout of the week, winning 24-0, with Garrett Douglas and Zach Flinn combining for the victory. Douglas allowed only two hits and struck out five in five innings. Flinn came in and quickly dispensed the three batters he faced by striking them out before the game was canceled.

Big hitters for Division were James Hickey, who hit a solo homer in the second inning to give Division the 1-0 lead. In the third inning, Division sent 18 batters to the plate as they took a commanding 14-0 lead. Joe Cardone also homered and banged out two hits with three runs and two RBIs.
