Legislator Dennis Dunne Sr. is urging all residents to attend the "Your Health & Cancer Expo" March 28 at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale. The event is presented by 1 in 9: the Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition. Representatives from various medical institutions and organizations dedicated to defeating cancer will be on hand to answer questions on breakthrough research, cutting edge treatments, cancer prevention and health lifestyle choices.
"Virtually all Long Islanders have been touched by cancer. This event gives all attendees an opportunity to ask questions and receive the most current information," Dunne said.
The event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. All are invited to attend this most important expo. "Geri Barish and her staff at 1 in 9 and the Hewlett House have been a remarkable resource to the people of Long Island. Their work with cancer patients and their families have helped ease the pain for thousands of Long Islanders. I am confident that their expertise will carry over to their work with the 'Your Health & Cancer - Expo 2004,'" Dunne added.
