Elizabeth L. Messe, 83, of Ocala, FL, died on Feb. 10, 2004. She was born in New York, NY and came to Ocala from Levittown in 1989. Mrs. Messe was a key punch operator with Nassau Community College. She enjoyed spending time at the Saddle Oak Community Center. She was blessed with good neighbors up north and in Ocala. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, swimming, bingo, playing bridge, bowling, family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed PTA, Cub Scouts and the Rosary Society in New York.
Mother of Lorraine Rechis of Lansdale, PA, Donald Messe and Ronald Messe of Levittown. Grandmother of five. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Francis Messe, and a daughter, Carolyn. Arrangements were made by the Roberts Funeral Home, Ocala. Donations may be made to the Queen of Peace Building Fund.
Dr. Catherine L. Flanagan (nee Massari), of Seaford, died on Feb. 11, 2004. She was president of Forensic Psychological Services, a member of LI Women Business Owners Association, LIA, and Gov. Pataki's Task Force (DMV). Wife of Patrick T. Mother of Patrick T. II. Sister of Flora Stern (Joel). Aunt of Joel N.H. Stern. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Levittown Chapel. Mass at St. William the Abbot RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
