The Gerald R. Claps Career & Technical Center Key Club are presented a Toys for Sick Children Benefit Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Gerald R. Claps Career & Technical Center, 150 Abbey Lane in Levittown.
Assembly GOP Plan Strengthens'Megan's Law'
Assemblyman David G. McDonough and members of the Assembly Republican conference unveiled a far-reaching plan to strengthen New York's "Megan's Law," the community notification law aimed at preventing abuse of children by making communities aware of the danger of sex predators in their midst.
The eighth-grade Girls Basketball team won its season opener against Packard. The team played a tremendous defensive game to earn the victory. Kristen Burgos led the way with 10 points, Rachel Trager added 6 points and Angelika Paskins had 5 points and a team high 8 rebounds. Jena Leardo, Lauren Lucas, Jessica Greene, Alysha Ciaramitaro and Patricia Brewer each scored 4 points. Gina Ciaravino, Kristin Vesely and Marissa Sciacca each chipped in 2 points to help the team to victory.
