Hempstead Town Councilman Gary Hudes recently presented a Town of Hempstead Certificate of Recognition to the Whitcomb Family at the Madonna Heights Services 17th Annual Shepherd's Ball, which was held at the Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage State Park. The Whitcomb Family was recognized as the 2003 Shepherd's Honoree.

CEO Robert Whitcomb, Paul Whitcomb, Councilman Gary Hudes, Whitsons founder Gina Daly, John Whitcomb and Vice President Mike Whitcomb.

The Whitcomb family, owner of Whitsons Food Services, was honored for their support of the Madonna Heights Services Organization. The Madonna Heights Organization along with Whitsons Food Services has reached out and assisted the needy of Long Island by providing many outreach service programs.

"I am happy to see that a Long Island family such as the Whitcombs, who are also the food service providers of the Levittown School System, are such caring and giving people," Hudes said. "Their generosity has benefited many families of Long Island and I, along with the Madonna Heights Services Organization, would like to thank them."
