The bowling teams defeated Bellmore Merrick 30-14. That win put the boys' team in first place. The highlights were: Jenny Sierra bowling a 188 and a 498 series. Adam Chase with a 258 and a 666 series, and Steve Perkowski with a 677 series enabled by his amazing 288 game. He had 10 strikes in a row and then spared out the game. Way to go Steve! The bowling teams also defeated Wantagh and those highlights are: Pam Koromi's 176, Geri Silverio's 165 and Jen Lovaglio's 169, Adam Chase's 247 and Steve Perkowski's 247 which was his high game of a 227 average. The Bulldog wrestling team defeated a tough Uniondale team by the score of 37-27. Key matches were Kevin Cusker and Anthony Vecchione both pinning their opponents. Congratulations to the Girls' 7th grade volleyball team on their wins over Mattlin and Grand Avenue. The Lady Dogs dominated both matches with superior serving and communication. Tremendous serving was displayed by Meghan Biondolillo, Angelina DeLardi, Alison Gronenthal and Christina Merrill. Danielle Doller, Ashley Moore and Nicholas Coradini displayed notable blocking and spiking skills. The Boys' 7th grade basketball team defeated Wantagh by the score of 46-30. The team had a well-balanced attack with four players dropping 8 or more points. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by John Howard with 10 points, John Thearle, Ryan Tolan and Matt Passatempo each had 8 points. Eric Fazio scored 4 and Stephan Barea, Tom Hart, Matt Francis and Dan Schulz each had a basket. The boys played tenacious defense with John Thearle and Eric Fazio setting the tone with relentless man to man pressure on Wantagh all gone. The 7th grade team also defeated Packard by the score of 53-29. With this win the boys raised their record to a perfect 4 and 0, remaining undefeated for the season. The team played solid defense throughout the game, forcing turnovers and rebounding the ball well. The team was once again led in scoring by John Howard, who posted a double double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. John's ferocious play on the boards ignited the Bulldogs' run in the 2nd period. Player of the game honors goes to sharpshooter, Mike Pellegrino, who was deadly from 15 feet, draining 10 points. Also scoring for the team were Matt Passatempo with 8 points. Stephan Barea, Ryan Tolan, Nick Bruzzese and John Thearle all had 4 points each. Chris Hunt had 3 points and Tom Hart, Dominick D'Agostino and Matt Francis each had a basket. Dan Nicolino also had a solid game on the boards with 8 rebounds.
