Levittown West Little League, in conjunction with Prime Time Sports Camps, (run by Scott Fiedler and his brother Jay, who is the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins), recently conducted a very successful baseball clinic run by Leo Mazzone.
Atlanta Braves pitching coach Leo Mazzone completed conducting a two-day pitching clinic at Division Avenue HS. Mazzone did a masterful job captivating the attention of everyone in attendance. During the two-day clinic, Coach Mazzone gave clinics to varying age groups: starting off with a father-son clinic for the youngster players, a clinic for coaches, and a players clinic. After this, Coach Mazzone gave a semi-private pitching lesson for the more dedicated players.
While Coach Mazzone, also known as the "pope of pitching," gave pitching instructions, he displayed that his knowledge of pitching was unparalleled while at the same time displaying the ability to teach all age groups and ability levels. It didn't matter if it was an experienced high school player or a beginning little league player with little experience, Mazzone was able to have all the players benefit.
At the completion of each clinic, Mazzone put aside time for autographs as well as having his picture taken with those who desired one. This clinic was a massive success with all those attending benefiting greatly from Coach Mazzone's knowledge.
