Levittown Public Schools Budget Development Guidelines for 2004-2005
At its Nov. 12 meeting, the Levittown Board of Education adopted budget developmental guidelines in preparation for the budget for the 2004-2005 school year. The criteria will guide the development of the 2004-2005 Levittown school budget, the preparation of the preliminary budget by administration, its deliberation by the board of education, its review by the Citizens Advisory Budget Committee(s), its presentation to the public, and the budget vote on May 18, 2004. The criteria is as follows:

Booth, Rottkamp Vie for Fire Commissioner
Levittown residents Andrew Booth and John Rottkamp are running in this year's election for fire commissioner. Residents will have the opportunity to vote on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Levittown Fire Department Headquarters, 120 Gardiners Avenue in Levittown.

Resident Among 'Racing for Recovery' Run Winners
Levittown resident Shane O'Leary was among the winners of the inaugural Racing for Recovery Five Mile Run and One Mile Fun Run/Walk held earlier this month at Jones Beach State Park. There were 345 runners who crossed the finish line in an effort to help further the fight against drug and alcohol abuse on Long Island and all over the nation.
