Countywide Flu Immunization Program Comes to Levittown
Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi, joined by Senior Citizen Affairs Commissioner Sharon Mullon and Department of Health Commissioner Dr. David Ackman, announced that on Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Yours Ours Mine Community Center/Levittown SCSC from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Levittown Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nassau County, with the help of the Nassau University Medical Center, will be mounting its major annual campaign against influenza. The program offers flu immunization to all senior citizens age 60 and over. All locations will also offer the pneumonia vaccine to persons 65 and older.

Residents from all over Long Island are invited to participate in the Sunday, Oct. 26 Walk Far for NAAR (National Alliance for Autism Research), Family & Friends for Autism Research. The three-mile will be held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow beginning at 9 a.m.
