  • News: Goosby Challenges Murray for Town of Hempstead Supervisor

    Town of Hempstead Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby is well-known in the town's first councilmatic district, which includes a part of Freeport, Hempstead, Lakeview, Roosevelt, Uniondale and part of West Hempstead. But, now, as the Democratic candidate for the town supervisor, Goosby is attempting to get her word out to the town's other five districts. FULL STORY

    Our 7-8 year olds visited muddy Fireman's Field this past Sunday. It was rainy and the coffee was barely warm. We were hoping that our boys would heat up after last week's tough loss. FULL STORY

  • Sports: Island Trees Sports The girls 8th grade soccer team had its most productive offensive game enroute to a 4-0 victory over Plainview. Valerie Ahrens started off the scoring and Angelika Paskins, Kristen Walsh and Brianna Paolino each scored their first goal of the season. The defense had a solid game and helped Stephanie Fabis and Ashley Alesi pitch their first shutout.
