Homicide Squad detectives reported earlier this week a homicide that occurred this past weekend in East Meadow.
According to detectives, 40-year-old Robert E. Lundy was found with multiple stab wounds in Field 2 at Eisenhower Park. He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where ER staff pronounced him dead at 10:22 p.m.
The residence of the victim is a bit unclear, as local news reports have said the man was technically homeless, although he used a Levittown address. According to a report in Newsday, the homeowner of the Levittown residence described Lundy as "homeless," noting that he sometimes stayed at the house because it is the residence of his girlfriend.
The Homicide Squad arrested 40-year-old Bernard Ordover the day after the incident. Ordover, who has no known address, was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead this Monday. He is being charged with second degree murder.
