Five boys from Levittown were selected to this year's Empire Scholastic Men's Lacrosse Team. Traditionally, the Empire Lacrosse Team is the most selective of all the sports offered at the empire games. Over 900 boys from Nassau and Suffolk Counties tryout for the team. Eventually, 30 boys are picked for the squad. Out of that 30, 20 boys will be asked to travel to Buffalo for the games. As can be seen by the number of boys trying out, coupled with the fact that Long Island is still one of the heaviest recruited areas for college lacrosse programs, making this team is an enormous accomplishment. Making the team from Levittown's Division Avenue HS were junior Jim Davis on attack, junior John Terrillion on defense and sophomore Tom Davis at midfield. MacArthur HS added junior Nick Tintle at midfield and sophomore Scott Rodgers in goal. Congratulations to the boys and good luck at the games.
