The Levittown Swimming Association (LSA) started its 50th season on July 13 with their first swim meet, the Traditional Relay Carnival. The meet was honored to have County Legislator Dennis Dunne, a former LSA swimmer, officiate by starting one of the relays.
As a commitment to the community, the association held its first food drive to assist local food pantries. Present at the swim meet to accept donations on behalf of the Levittown Kiwanis Club was Andy Booth. Booth came early and thoroughly enjoyed his first swim meet and made a commitment to attend and encourage swimmers at the upcoming meets.
Future meet dates include: Tri-Pool, July 21 and 22 at 6 p.m.; Tri-Sectional, July 27 at 10 a.m.; Novice, August 2 at 10 a.m. and Championship, August 16 and 17 at 9 a.m.
All meets are held at the Jerusalem Avenue Pool.
