Heavy Damage in Morning Fire
An early morning house fire heavily damaged a Wantagh home this past Monday. The fire was reported when two passersby alerted the homeowner that smoke was coming from a second floor window of their home on Red Maple Drive East. The homeowner awoke his wife and the family vacated the house.

Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League Update
The Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League held their most recent tournament on June 3 and, as luck would have it, it rained yet again. Although it looked like it might hold off a little, after the fifth or sixth group teed off, it started to rain and the rain persisted quite steadily for most of the tournament, getting heavier by the end.

Levittown Swimming Association Begins 50th Season
The Levittown Swimming Association (LSA) started its 50th season on July 13 with their first swim meet, the Traditional Relay Carnival. The meet was honored to have County Legislator Dennis Dunne, a former LSA swimmer, officiate by starting one of the relays.
