The Levittown Kiwanis Club would like to thank all of the volunteers who participated in the March of Dimes Walkathon on April 27; along with our chairperson for the walk, Mrs. Roe Truelove.

As of late we have been writing about Camp Kiwanis in our Kiwanis Korner. Let me quote one of our members, Mr. Howard Freeman. "Youngsters laugh and joke as they take a dip in the pool at 6:30 a.m. It is a warm, sunny morning at Camp Kiwanis. A handicapped boy beams brightly as he expertly manipulates his electric wheelchair in a game of tag at Camp Kiwanis."
What could be better than sending a deserving youngster to Camp Kiwanis? A trip to Camp Kiwanis to see the children enjoying themselves. Some of our members do visit the summer camp and always come back refreshed and ready to work harder in our club. Why? In order to send more youngsters next summer.
Would you or your organization like to send a child to camp? It costs $395 per child per week at Camp Kiwanis. Please send your donation to:
Kiwanis Club of Levittown, Inc.
P.O. Box 152
Levittown, NY 11756
Please mark on your check what to use the funds for: Scholarship or Summer Camp or both. The more we collect, the more we can do for the young people of Levittown.
Are you interested? Please come and see what the club is all about.

Please save all your soda/drink flip top tabs and all your Campbell soup labels and General Mills box tops and turn them in to the Levittown Kiwanis Club at one of our meetings. You may ask: why labels and soda tabs? The labels and box tops go to St. Jude's Ranch for Children, which they redeem for a monetary amount. The soda tabs go to the Fork Lane School in Hicksville and they give them to the Nassau County Medical Center Burn Unit.
