School District Activities Back to Normal, Postponed Events Rescheduled
Following a decision to cancel and/or postpone all after-school activities the day following President George Bush's announcement that the United States was going to war in Iraq, the Levittown School District this week went back to business as usual and all postponed activities, including LEADD XVII (Levittown Education Against Destructive Decisions) and school plays have been rescheduled.

Residents Rally in Support of Troops Overseas
Hundreds of residents from local communities gathered at Veterans Memorial Park in Levittown on Monday evening for a rally to show their support for United States troops overseas fighting in the war in Iraq. The event was hosted by Nassau County Republican Chairman Joe Mondello, who together with local veterans organizations, dignitaries and elected officials spoke about the importance of supporting the men and women in our armed forces.

On March 5, Sensei Bylund, owner of Dynasty Martial Arts and Fitness in Levittown, held a free self-defense workshop at the CW Post Pratt Recreation Center on the CW Post Campus of Long Island University.

Division Avenue HS Honors Winter Athletes
On March 18, Division Avenue High School held its annual sports awards ceremony for the 2002-2003 season. At this event, each athlete is acknowledged for his or her performance and dedication during the winter season. This year, three seniors received awards from New York State. They were Christina Buckley for basketball, Joe Caprioli for bowling and Chris Hagmaier for wrestling.
