LAC (Levittown Athletic Club) will be holding another registration on Wednesday, Jan. 15 and again on Friday, Jan. 17. Both registrations will take place at the Levittown Library, Room A, from 7 to 9 p.m. Unfortunately the first night was canceled due to a snow storm, but many called to have the form mailed directly to their homes.
The main goal of LAC is to instruct girls in the proper techniques and sportsmanship in playing girls softball. They hold clinics to teach pitching, hitting and throwing and fielding. These will be held on Jan. 31, Feb. 26 and Feb. 28. A flyer will be sent out this month with further details.
LAC has three divisions: second-, third- and fourth-graders play in the Farms; fifth- and sixth-graders play in the Minors and seventh- through 10th-graders play in the Majors. All Farms and Minors games are played at Azalea Road Field, Majors play at Azalea, as well at Salk Middle School and Sparke Elementary School.
Please telephone Joel Bearman, president at 520-6145 with any questions and he will return all voice mail messages, or visit our website www.eteamz.com\lacgs. The LAC's experience is with girls softball, they are an established league and hope residents will register their daughters in LAC.
