The Generals wrestling team took to the mat this past weekend. The wrestlers totally dominated the MacArthur Holiday Tournament, defeating Nassau County Powerhouses Massapequa, East Meadow, Farmingdale and Suffurn. The Generals crowned six champions, one silver and one bronze.

Matt DeLorenzo received the Peter Kouvatsos Award, which is given to the tournament's outstanding wrestler. Matt pinned Chris Siraco of Division Avenue. Freshman Steven DeLorenzo brought home a gold medal. TJ Lazarus decisioned teammate Mike Catania in a close nail-biting battle. Dylan Reitmayer, John Calvacca and Carl Saviano all won gold medals. Brent O'Donnell lost a close match to East Meadow's Matt DeLuca. Brent still battled back to a third place finish.

MacArthur's football players missed this competition but the Generals still performed at top Nassau County level, showcasing the depth of the General program.
