The holidays are joyous and happy for most families: sharing a meal, a phone call or just a plain hug. For our cousin's daughter, Molly, this holiday time will be quite different. On Nov. 30 of this year, Molly Prep, a beautiful 7-year-old, was diagnosed with Leukemia. Since then, her parents have been at Molly's bedside in the ICU that Molly is in now. As too many of you know medical costs are sometimes out of reach.

To help our cousin and especially Molly, our family is having a fundraiser to help. Santa will be outside of our home on Friday, Dec. 20, between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. There will be goodies for everyone, whether or not you are able to donate anything to help Molly.

We are blessed that our children have never had a serious illness. We are asking for your help. It may be only pennies for you, but can mean another day of chemotherapy for Molly and another day of hope for her parents.

We live at 7 Coachman Lane, off Jerusalem Avenue, in Levittown. Please stop by and help us help Molly. Donations can be made out to "Molly Prep." If you are unable to join us Friday, you can send any donations to "Molly Prep," c/o the Engel Family, 7 Coachman Lane, Levittown, NY 11756.

May your holidays and New Year's be happy and healthy.
