Volleyball
The eighth-grade boys basketball team traveled to Viking territory to take on an always tough opponent in Seaford. The Bulldogs exploded to an early 23-7 halftime lead. Seaford battled back with an impressive low post game and took the lead late in the fourth period. To the Dawgs credit, they bent, but would not break. The game eventually came down to a battle of free throws, with the Vikes winning that encounter. Player of the game with game-high honors was Will Lopez with 18 points and five assists. Jon O'Connell netted nine with an impressive game at the point. For the second consecutive game, the Bulldogs had 11 players contribute in the scoring column. Matt Gelormino had six, while Brendan Spiess added four. All with a bucket each were Rob Fragoletti, Ever Reyes, Chris Caragher, Dan Hart and William Caldarera, who scored his first career points. Ever Reyes was just a machine under the boards, ripping down 10 rebounds. Adding a free throw each was John Carey and Jonathan Bartlett. This was truly an exciting game, ending in a 51-49 defeat. This talented group has a great future in front of them.
