Republican incumbent David G. McDonough is seeking re-election to his seat in the 19th District of the New York State Assembly. First elected into office in a special election held in February of this year, McDonough said that while he has spent only a few months in the assembly, he has accomplished many things, such as supporting and taking part in the authorization of several new bills and laws.

Following a close game against Clarke on Oct. 19, with Clarke scoring the leading touchdown with 2:41 left in the fourth quarter which prevented a Division upset, Division brought home a win against Roslyn on Oct. 26 with a final score of 28-7.

St. Bernard's CYO Basketball 'Super Star Program' Shines Again
On Oct. 24, St. Bernard's concluded its second session of its newly-formed "Super Star Program." This program was started in April 2002 by Kathy Belmonte and has shown to be a great success. The program runs once a week for four weeks in the spring and the fall. It is designed for young people with special needs.
