Neil J. Pilla, of East Meadow, died on Oct. 6, 2002. Husband of Debra. Father of Jason, Stephanie and Joseph. Son of Lucy and the late Joseph. Brother of John and Carrie Savino (Vito) and Victoria. Anne F. Keenan (nee Logan), of Levittown, died on Oct. 7, 2002. She was an NCMC volunteer for 16 years. Wife of the late Andrew. Mother of Daniel T. (Linda) and Kathleen O'Neill (George). Sister of Martin J. Logan Jr., Helen Logan and the late Mary Logan. Grandmother of Daniel Jr., Laura, Colleen, Theresa and George Jr. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Levittown Chapel. Mass at St. Bernard RC Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
Eloise Dodd, a longtime resident of Levittown, died Oct. 9, 2002 in Newport, NH, where she had moved three months earlier to be closer to her family who live in Sunapee, NH. Eloise and her husband, Richard, had attended the Levittown Community Church, where they had been founding members. After residing in Levittown for 30 years, the couple moved to Dunedin, FL in 1979.
Eloise was born June 11, 1918 in Monroe, NY, the daughter of Raymond and Emma Husted. She was raised and educated in Tuxedo, NY, after which she attended Syracuse University. Eloise went on to graduate from Katherine Gibbs School in NY. She was employed with Sperry Gyroscope as an executive secretary for many years.
Eloise was an accomplished pianist. She started playing professionally at a young age, accompanying silent movies. In later years she taught piano and played in numerous productions of the Gilbert and Sullivan Workshop on LI.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1986. Survivors include sons, Philip Dodd of Rochester and Peter Dodd of Sunapee. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 705 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin, FL 34698-2699.
