The Levittown/Island Trees Youth Council's bowling schedule begins on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at South Levittown Lanes at 4 p.m. Students of all ages are invited to join the program which has something for everyone: free instructions, friendly team competition, 100 percent handicapping (bonus pins that are given to lower average teams), weekly statistics on averages, high games, etc., participation awards for everyone, team trophies for top place teams, bumper bowling designed specifically for 4-7-year-olds (bumpers keep the bowling ball on the lane).

On Tuesday evening, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. North Levittown Lanes begins their Levittown/Island Trees Middle School League. This program is open only to middle school-age students. Bowling is completed by 9 p.m. Boys and girls may form their own teams, or register as individuals or partial teams. Individual and team trophies are awarded and 100 percent handicapping is used to make all competition fair.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, at 10:30 a.m. and on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m., North Levittown Lanes begins their Levittown/Island Trees fall bowling programs. These programs are for all school-aged students kindergarten on up, and offer the same benefits as described above in the opening paragraph.

For answers to any questions, please call Michelle Jones at South Levittown Lanes, 731-5700 or Laurie Erb at North Levittown Lanes, 735-3900.
