Senator Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. announced recently his success in winning a $5,000 New York State Senate grant for the Long Island Broncos. This funding will be used to help defray operating costs so that the organization may continue serving the youth of the community.
The Long Island Broncos have been providing the youth in the Wantagh and Seaford communities an opportunity to participate in successful football and cheerleading programs since 1966. They offer coaching and training and teach teamwork and sportsmanship.
"The Long Island Broncos teach children in the community to work together towards a common goal, while at the same time, fostering an atmosphere in which they can play competitively and safely," Fuschillo said. "Participation in athletics at a young age exposes children to ideas and goals that will be helpful for the rest of their lives."
"Senator Fuschillo's efforts are an investment in the youth of the community," said Doreen Brolly, president. "Through this grant, Senator Fuschillo has shown that he cares about the future of the community."
