Levittown Superintendent's Message for 2002-2003 School Year
Despite the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001 that marked the beginning of the school year and despite the uncertain national economic climate that prevailed throughout the year, the 2001-2002 school year ended with great success for all students in the Levittown Public Schools. Our seniors graduated with an all-time record Regents diploma rate of 75 percent and students at all levels exceeded the Nassau County averages on all state tests.

Island Trees Schools will welcome approximately 2,800 students to a new and challenging school year on Wednesday, Sept. 4. This is an exciting year for Island Trees as it marks the 100th Anniversary of the creation of the Island Trees School District.

It was a very hot and humid day when the average person would love to hang around by the pool or stay indoors in the air conditioning. But for the Nassau County Police Emerald Society, it was a charity softball game against the Nassau County Sheriffs Department Emerald Society.

Senator Fuschillo Secures $5,000 for Long Island Trees Broncos
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. announced recently his success in winning a $5,000 New York State Senate grant for the Long Island Broncos. This funding will be used to help defray operating costs so that the organization may continue serving the youth of the community.
