Kiwanis President Mauro Cassano and Run Coordinator Kevin Regan announce and congratulate race and raffle winners.

The Levittown Kiwanis Club sponsored its sixth annual 5K run/walk last month throughout the streets of Levittown. Participants went through nearly 30 roads in the community.

Race Director Kevin Regan, who credited his wife Joanne Regan for putting the entire race together, said that the Kiwanis Club had a great turnout and were able to raise approximately $4,000 during the event.

"I had a lot of help from members of the Youth Council and members of Kiwanis," Regan said. "That's the biggest thing, that we get those people down there to do the streets at 7 o'clock in the morning. That's what really makes the race successful."

Regan also thanked members of the Levittown Fire Department who help out annually during the event.

Hundreds of local runners and walkers turned out for the event, held yearly in the community on Father's Day. After the race, participants enjoyed refreshments which were set up by Kiwanians and other volunteers and were awarded with trophies and raffle prizes.
