Voluntary Cleanup Agreement on Melody Cleaners in East Meadow
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), in cooperation with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) recently announced that Lowden Family Trust d/b/a Lowden Properties has volunteered to investigate and further remediate as necessary any contamination discovered at the Melody Cleaners Site in East Meadow. Lowden Properties has elected to take significant steps toward the protection of human health and the environment for the benefit of the community.

The Levittown Kiwanis Club sponsored its sixth annual 5K run/walk last month throughout the streets of Levittown. Participants went through nearly 30 roads in the community.

Resident First Wheelchair Finisher in Women's Run
During a picture-perfect day, 399 finishers, including champions from all over the nation and the world as well as virtually every single top female runner from all over Long Island and representing every local club, enjoyed amazing giveaways, perfect weather and an outstanding finish on the track at Farmingdale High School during the 19th Annual Vytra Health Plans Long Island Women's 5 Kilometer Run held on the morning of July 13.
