The Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League held their eighth tournament of the year on July 11. The weather was perfect, which members believe may be the reason they had the largest turnout in recent years. They started with 24 golfers in the first round and eight men drew a by while 16 others played to see who would go on to the next round. There were three birdies that day - one by Dan McCann on the 200 yard, par 3, fourth hole; one by Jake Ziegler on the 257 yard, par 4, fifth hole and one by Peter Kerr on the 272 yard, par 4, sixth hole.

Competition on the nine hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 11 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 12 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league and is always looking for new members. Any man who is at least 55 years of age is eligible. For more information, call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
